​Educational Qualification

​Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. The cut-off date for acquiring the educational qualification is August 01, 2026.

Note: Stenography skills are mandatory for both posts.

How to Apply for SSC Stenographer 2026

​⚠️ Important Update: The SSC has migrated to a new website (ssc.gov.in). Old One-Time Registration (OTR) credentials from ssc.nic.in are invalid. All candidates must generate a new OTR.

​Step 1 — Visit the new official SSC website: ssc.gov.in

Step 2 — Click on “Login or Register” to complete your One-Time Registration (OTR).

Step 3 — Log in with your new credentials and find the “Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2026” under the ‘Apply’ section.

Step 4 — Fill in the application form and choose 3 preferred exam centres within the same region.

Step 5 — Upload your recent passport-size photograph and signature. Aadhaar-based authentication is strongly recommended to avoid rejection.

Step 6 — Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form.

Step 7 — Print the final application form and keep it safe for at least 3 years.
