Educational Qualification (Post-Wise)
Library posts in SSC Phase 14 2026 are notified at three levels:
Matriculation Level (10th Pass):
- Library Attendant (CWC, CR)
- Library Clerk – General (National Library, NWR)
- Library Attendant (DGHS, SR)
Higher Secondary Level (10+2 Pass):
- Library Clerk (National Medical Library, MPR)
Graduation & Above Level:
- Librarian (Central Academy for State Forest Services, NER)
- Library & Information Assistant / LIA – all regional variants (NR, NWR, ER, SR, CR)
For Language-specific LIA posts at National Library (NWR posts NW11826 to NW12526), candidates must have proficiency in the specific language (Bodo, Dogri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Santhali, or Sindhi) either as a studied subject up to Matriculation level or as their mother tongue.

Selection Process
- Computer Based Examination (CBE): 100 questions / 200 marks in 60 minutes. Sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language (25 questions × 2 marks each). Negative marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer.
- Document Scrutiny: Online upload of certificates after clearing CBE.
- Document Verification (DV): By the respective User Department/Ministry.
