• ​Kashmiri Migrants as defined under SRO 412 of 2009 (Must hold a valid certificate from the Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner, J&K).
• ​Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits as defined under SRO 425 of 2017 (Must hold a valid certificate from the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district).

​Domicile & Language

​You must be a Domicile of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate must be obtained on or before the application cut-off date (September 8, 2026).

• ​Open Merit (OM): 18 to 40 years (Born between 01.01.1986 and 01.01.2008).
• ​SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / EWS / OBC / ALC / IB: 18 to 43 years.
• ​Physically Challenged (PwBD): 18 to 42 years.

​Post-wise Educational Qualifications

• ​Sub-Inspector (Finance): Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• ​Depot Assistant: Matriculation (Class 10 pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
• ​Junior Librarian: Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science.
• ​Library Assistant: Graduation degree along with a Degree or Diploma in Library Science.
• ​Junior Statistical Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Applications, or IT as an elective subject.
• ​Draftsman (Civil): 2-year Draftsman Training Certificate or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• ​Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant: Class 10 pass, a 2-year ITI Motor Mechanic Vehicle certificate, and a valid LMV/Motorcycle driving license with gear.

​Selection Process for JKSSB PM Package 2026

​Stage 1 — Written Examination

An objective multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam conducted in English only. A negative marking penalty of 0.25 (1/4 mark) will apply for every wrong answer. High scorers move to the verification list.

​Stage 2 — Document Verification

Candidates matching the merit pool must present original documents, academic marksheets, J&K domicile certificates, and mandatory migrant registration proofs.

​The initial monthly pay matrix scales depend directly on the item code:

• ​Junior Statistical Assistant (Level-5): Rs 29,200 — Rs 92,300. In-hand salary is approximately Rs 44,000 to Rs 48,000 per month.
• ​Sub-Inspector / Junior Librarian / Draftsman (Level-4): Rs 25,500 — Rs 81,100. In-hand salary is approximately Rs 38,000 to Rs 42,000 per month.
• ​Library Assistant / Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant (Level-2): Rs 19,900 — Rs 63,200. In-hand salary is approximately Rs 28,000 to Rs 32,000 per month.
