​CUET UG 2026 — Exam Conduct Details

​The National Testing Agency conducted the exam on a massive scale. The exam ran for 19 days across 35 shifts. The testing windows were open from May 11 to May 31, and later on June 6 and 7.

​The test happened in 321 cities. This includes 13 international cities like Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Washington, and Dubai. Students wrote tests from a pool of 996 unique question papers. The agency used computer-based testing exclusively to ensure complete transparency. The NTA declared this result in just 16 days.

The highest score for an SC male candidate is 1142.98. The highest score for an SC female candidate is 1171.46.

​Scheduled Tribe (ST) Toppers:

The top ST male candidate scored 1079.96. The top ST female candidate achieved an impressive 1160.41 score.

​Divyangjan (PwD) Candidates:

Over 3,894 PwD candidates appeared for the exam. The highest scoring PwD candidate achieved an aggregate score of 1092.95.

​NTA Role vs University Counselling

​NTA Role:

The NTA only conducts the exam and releases the scorecard. They do not decide college cutoffs or handle the merit lists.

​University Role:

All 244 participating universities handle their own admissions. Each university will release its own merit list based on your NTA scores.

​You must apply separately on the official website of the university you want to join. Central universities will open their counselling portals shortly.
