Nationality
You must be an Indian citizen. Candidates from Nepal and Bhutan can also apply for this post according to state guidelines.

Educational Qualification
The qualification rules depend on the specific post you choose.
For Municipal Posts (Advt. 35 to 38), you need any graduation degree to apply. This means BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, B.Tech, or any stream from any recognized college. The subject of your degree does not matter. You also need basic computer knowledge and knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.

- Senior Drug Inspector: B.Pharma or Pharm D degree plus 5 years of working experience in drug enforcement or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Industrial Safety Officer: Second Class B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Assistant Director, Boilers: B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Production, Power Plant, or Metallurgical Engineering. You also need a Boiler Operation Engineer Certificate and 2 years of field experience.
For the District Education Officer post, you must belong to the PwD category. You need a First Class Bachelor’s degree, or a Second Class Bachelor’s combined with a Second Class Master’s degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, or Agriculture. A teaching degree and 7 years of work experience are mandatory.
