​Educational Qualification

​For Junior Engineer (Civil): You need a Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institution recognized by the Odisha Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training.

For Architectural Assistant: You need a Diploma in Architectural Assistantship.

For Information & PR Department Posts (Cameraman, Editor, etc.): You need a Class 12 (+2) pass certificate along with a Diploma or Degree in the respective field (Cinematography, Sound Recording, Electronics, Video Editing).

For Junior Draughtsman & Tracer: You need to pass HSC (Class 10) with an NTC pass in Draughtsman (Civil). Tracers also need Basic Computer Skill and Auto CAD certificates.

​Selection Process for OSSC CTSRE 2026

​Stage 1 — Preliminary Examination

A written test of 150 marks. Duration: 150 minutes. It covers Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Current Events, and Computer Awareness. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates scoring above the cut off go to Stage 2.

​Stage 2 — Main Written Examination

This is a technical paper specific to your applied post carrying 200 marks. Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).

​Stage 3 — Certificate Verification

Show your original academic, identity, and category documents. The commission shortlists candidates equal to 1.5 times the vacancies for this stage.

​OSSC CTSRE Salary 2026

​━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

​Pay Scale: Level 9 for Group B posts (JE, Architectural Assistant, Cameraman, etc.). Level 8 and Level 5 for Group C posts (Draughtsman, Tracer).
