Who Can Apply — Eligibility for MPESB Recruitment 2026

1. Age Limit

You must be between 18 and 40 years old to apply.

2. Educational Qualification

For the Nursing Officer post:

You need a B.Sc Nursing degree. You can also apply with a Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree. You must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

You must be registered with the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council. You must have an active registration on the application date.

For the Sister Tutor post:

You need a B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree. You must have passed Class 12 with science subjects. You also need one year of working experience. You must be registered with the MP Nursing Council.

3. Other Requirements

You must have a live registration in the Madhya Pradesh Employment Exchange. This is mandatory for all state government jobs.

Candidates from other states can apply. They will be considered in the General category. They will not get any age relaxation or reservation benefits.

How Will You Be Selected — Selection Process

Getting selected for this job happens in two main stages. Here is exactly what happens at each stage:

Stage 1 — Written Examination

This is an online computer-based test of 100 marks. You get 2 hours to complete it. The paper has two parts.

Part A has 25 questions for 25 marks. It covers General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Math, Science, and Aptitude.

Part B has 75 questions for 75 marks. It covers nursing subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, and Medical-Surgical Nursing.

Is there negative marking?

YES. The board will deduct 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. Do not guess blindly. You get 1 mark for every correct answer.

Minimum passing marks:

General category candidates need 50 percent marks. SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates need 40 percent marks to pass.

Stage 2 — Document Verification

Candidates who clear the written test are called for document verification. You do not get any marks here. This is just to confirm that your documents are genuine.

The board checks your age, education, and category certificates. They will also verify your thumb impression using biometric data.

Official Pay Scale:

Nursing Officer: Level 7 (Basic Pay Rs 28,700)
